After a weekend of eating and drinking and drinking and eating the strangest thing happened after not working out for 3 weeks. My body literally said to me, “Hey fatty – ENOUGH IS ENOUGH – go to the gym.” And so I went. And I’ve continued to go. Every single day and even twice a day! My body appreciated the much needed break, but appreciated me going back even more.
I am working on eating all of the foods and not classifying anything as “good” or “bad.” It’s a work in progress this whole eating sensibly thing. What I have learned is that I’m not eating as much, but eating what I actually want when I stop and listen to my body. The nicest part is that I’ve eaten things like french fries, grilled cheese, ice cream, etc – but in moderation. I’ve respected my body and stopped when full.
Last night I made a tomato parmesan soup and grilled cheddar sandwiches. I took the Pinterest Parm and Tomato soup floating around and made it my own. So delicious – it was a skinny’esque soup using fat free 1/2 and 1/2 instead of heavy whipping cream, 1/2 the amount of roux, 1/2 the amount of butter and yet so SO yummy and still so rich.
