Dark Chocolate Banana Bread Muffins – 3PP

Alright y’all. I adapted this recipe into a Weight Watchers Friendly/Sugar Free Clean Eating Muffin Recipe and I cannot complain. The original is equally as delicious – I was just looking for a way to reduce the points! I took it from 4pts a slice of bread to 3 points a big muffin. These are BEST SERVED WARMED.

Here we go!

CBM1

2 medium bananas
4 (about 1/2 cup) oz unsweetened applesauce
2 eggs
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 oz fat-free VANILLA Greek yogurt
4 oz Fage Total PLAIN 2% Yogurt, Greek Strained
2 cup(s) uncooked old fashioned oats
10 packet (a scant 1/4th cup) Truvia Sweetener. Calorie-Free
1 1/3 oz Ghirardelli Semi- Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips

Ya’ll this is the easiest recipe ever. Seriously. Six steps.

1. Mash your bananas
2. Blend your oats into a flour like consistency.
3. Combine all of the ingredients in a big bowl
4. Scoop into a muffin tin
5. Bake
6. Eat.

Boom. Done.

I ran out of my preferred chocolate chips and had to use mini. It was a dark, sad day for me.

Ice cream scoop them in. I believe that’s a 4oz. scoop.

Bake @ 350 for about 20’ish minutes (until a toothpick comes out clean)

….and stuff your face.

FYI: This go round I used 1c of Quaker’s Multi Grain Hot Cereal (has barely, rye, etc.) and 1. of the Old Fashioned Oats. They’re a little denser, but still awesome.

  1. I’ll be trying this week for sure (need more bananas first). I only have plain greek yogurt so I’ll substitute in some vanilla extract I think. I’m excited for something to kill these nasty chocolate cravings! Thanks for sharing

  2. Ohhhhhhhh Jummy!!! I’m always on the lookout for things that don’t taste healthy but are on the ‘healthy’ side.
Btw, are you still able to see my blog? I’ve changed the site to allroundgirl1.wordpress.com and lots of people can’t find it anymore! 😦
